This project was an adventure in wood bending – an effort to push the limits of transforming wood, a traditionally straight, hard and solid material, into something fluid, organic, and big. The nine-by-five-foot wall-mounted sculpture dominates a large three storey stairwell. Adventure is made from a centuries-old white oak log hauled up from the bottom of Georgian Bay.
